PEQ Agri is a winery in organic conversion based in Andora (SV) in western Liguria active in the sector with the Cascina Praié, Lupi and Guglierame wineries, an expression of quality and tradition of Ligurian viticulture. We only produce high quality wines that we grow directly in our 18 hectares of vineyards spread across the Ligurian territory. We grow native vines of Liguria and its DOC Riviera Ligure di Ponente di Pigato, Vermentino and Rossese Granaccia and Ormeasco di Pornassio vines, as well as lesser known but equally popular vines such as Lumassina.
The lands under cultivation are located in different areas of the Western Ligurian Riviera, including Andora and its hinterland, most of which arise from a process of recovery of abandoned and uncultivated areas, largely reduced to woods.
Through a reclamation process that includes the restoration of the ancient stone walls characteristic of the Ligurian landscape and the regulation of the waters, we are committed to enhancing the flora of our wonderful Andora valley.
Our mission is to enhance the territory. Respecting biodiversity, all our productions are differentiated according to the uniqueness of the vineyard, its soil and microclimate. Following the philosophy according to which “wine is made in the vineyard” we adopt sustainable measures both in agriculture and in the cellar.
Cascina Praié is a young and innovative winery.
The vines are grown with full respect for nature and the environment. Praié was born with the experience of Don Lisander who, in 1970 chose to plant his Vermentino in one of the most beautiful areas of the Ligurian Riviera di Ponente in Northern Italy, Colla Micheri, with a mild and favorable microclimate always caressed by the breezes of the sea winds.
In 2019 Cascina Praié becomes part of the PEQ world.The ten-year guide of the owner, Massimo Viglietti, perfectly integrated with the values of the company: respect for the principles of natural production and protection of the genuineness of the wines, following very strict rules both in the cellar and in the vineyard.
The innovative spirit of the Praié line finds its maximum fulfillment with Andalora and Andarosa, Martinotti Method sparkling wines, experiments conceived to allow the native vines of Rossese and Ormeasco to express the best of their characteristics.
